What is a refurbished instrument?

A refurbished instrument is an instrument repaired to last longer than originally manufactured. Most instruments sold at Matt's Music Store have no visible repairs. This means when the refurbishing factory received the instrument directly from the manufacturer, they inspected the instrument and determined there were no flaws. Each refurbished instrument is inspected, tested, and professionally set up by certified repair technicians. For the instruments that are repaired, their restoration shop has been awarded a "Gold" level certification from Fender and employs one "Gold," six "Silver" and several "Bronze" level repair technicians. Where do you receive your instruments from?

All our instruments come from the nation's largest distributor of used guitars, located in Franklin, TN. They receive instruments directly from manufacturers for various reasons including; overstock items, discontinued products, cosmetic flaws, minor repairs.

 

When do you receive new inventory?

New inventory is added to our website randomly, but frequently. We do not have a scheduled time for new deliveries. So, our inventory can change as fast as daily. We buy instruments whenever we see great pieces! It is beneficial to check our inventory frequently because each listing is a single listing that isn't promised to return. What do you mean by single listing?

All our instruments are refurbished and sent to us individually. So, when we get an instrument in stock and it sells, there is no knowing when (if) that instrument will come back in stock. It is important to check our inventory frequently because we could have something one day and it be gone the next. I can request ANY guitar..?

YES! You can request any guitar, bass, ukulele, resonator, banjo, mandolin, & more! MMS will send that request into the factory to see whether they have that exact instrument, or any other instruments that are closely related to the one requested, in stock. Click here to visit the request page!

 

Does Matt's Music Store have a store front location?

No, we are strictly online. Since we save money by not having to pay rent and other expenses, we pass those savings directly to you!

 

Can I trust to shop online at Matt's Music Store?

Any item must be returned in original condition to receive full refund, or else there will be a partial refund.

 

How do you pack your shipments?

We safely and securely package all our products for shipment! We pack them with more than enough padding and protection to keep your item safe. We pack all shipments until the product does not move inside the box and is secure. We also insure all shipments.

Do you accept trades?

Yes, we do! Although we don't accept all trades, we are interested to see what you have to offer to trade. We have to physically see your item to be able to trade. If you are interested in trading for one of our items, get in contact with us!

 

Are there any savings for picking up an order?

Yes! If you come and personally pick up your order, we will give you a discount!
